hill of Aetopetra

View to the hill of Aetopetra, "Eagle Rock", from the North on the 92nd km-mark of the Patras-Corinth highway.

Here, Carl Blegen detected a prehistoric settlement already in 1920. Pottery and sherds from the Neolithic to Late Helladic times were found and limited excavations in 1978-79 produced evidence for a fairly large settlement. Just below the hill passed one of the Mycenaean highways.
